James Hong, CFA, Managing Director, Head of Private Banking, Hong Kong, joined Credit Suisse as Head of Private Banking in September 2010. James oversees Credit Suisse’s Private Banking franchise in the Hong Kong hub, focusing on driving client delivery and service. James’ experience spans over 25 years of international private banking and asset management. Mr. Hong is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has been an active member of the local industry and community throughout his career, serving in a variety of roles including Advisor to the Chinese Registered Financial Analysts (CRFA) since its inception. He was also appointed a member of Hong Kong’s Antiquities Advisory Board for three terms.

Mr. Nick Ronalds, CFA , Executive Director, FIA Asia
Nick Ronalds, CFA, Executive Director, FIA Asia, is responsible for managing the Asian affiliate of the Futures Industry Association. Nick’s career in the futures industry spans over 20 years and has included senior positions at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the futures brokerage units of several global futures brokerage firms. From 1987 to 1994 he was Managing Director of the joint Asian Representative office of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), based in Tokyo, Japan. Over the years he has advised a wide range of institutional investors, including central banks, mutual funds, and other financial intermediaries, on the effective use of exchange-traded derivatives to enhance their portfolio management strategies. He has travelled to China regularly since his first visit in March of 1989, at the invitation of the Ministry of Commerce, to advise them on the structure and management of futures exchanges. In addition to his work for the FIA, he is President of his firm, AsiasMarkets, which specializes in financial markets consulting and strategic advisory for Asian markets. He has several published many articles in publications such as: Futures Industry, Nihon Shoken Shimbun (Japan Securities Daily), Cijing magazine, and The Wall Street Journal. Nick is a CFA charter holder and past-President of the CFA Society of Chicago. |
